CLASS WORK TO REMAIN SUSPENDED TODAY IN KASHMIR COLLEGES AND HIGHER SECONDARY SCHOOLS

The authorities have decided to extend the suspension of class work in degree colleges and higher secondary schools on Monday while as schools from primary to high school level will remain functional.

Officials said the class work will remain suspended in all the degree colleges of Srinagar.

Meanwhile, deputy commissioner Shopian Gazanfar Ali said all the higher secondary schools and colleges will remain closed on Monday and class work will remain suspended as well. “But schools up to high school level will remain functional,” he said. Also, class work will remain suspended in all higher secondary schools and colleges in Sopore division of Baramulla district. “Rest of the educational institutions will remain functional in the district,” officials said.

The district administration Kupwara has decided to suspend class work in Government Degree College Handwara “as a precautionary measure.”

Meanwhile, all schools and colleges in Pulwama town will also remain closed. "But educational institutions in rest of the areas of district will remain open," deputy Commissioner said.
